Remove Slashdot Account Completely

Slashdot is a social news website that originally billed itself as "News for Nerds. Stuff that Matters". It features news stories on science and technology that are submitted and evaluated by site users. Each story has a comments section attached to it where users can add online comments.

How to Remove Slashdot Account Completely 

 Unfortunately, it's not possible to remove your account on Slashdot. The reason is unclear. In their FAQ (http://slashdot.org/faq/accounts.shtml): 'can I delete my account?'

"You can't. The system needs to keep track of the users, so accounts are permanent."

That's no excuse, not even for a nerd!
