Delete an Account

You're just asking for a friend right?
Tell your friend that you would just go to your account settings page by clicking on your username in the upper right hand corner, then on 'settings'. Currently this option is only available on the desktop website.

From there, choose the 'delete my account' option in the bottom right hand of the window.

Your shared images and comments will be removed, your reputation points will be lost, your private messages will be deleted, and your username will be available for registration by another user.
Make sure your friend is aware that it is irreversible. If they miss having an account on Imgur, they will have to make a new account.
If 'your friend' does not have access to their account, please tell them to contact support and let us know the email address associated with the account, the last login location, and describe some of the uploaded images.

To remove your account, go to your account settings (http://imgur.com/account/settings)
Now click “delete my account” and follow the instructions.
