How to Remove Bitly Account

Currently, there is only one way to delete your account from Bitly Website which is given below:-

First Deactivate your Account

1. Go through the following URL “https://bitly.com/” and sign-in to your account.
2. Once you sign-in to your account then click on the three straight line (Hamburger) icon given at the top right side of the page.
3. Once you click on that icon a pop-down menu will appear on that menu tap on your name and email address to go visit the edit profile page.
4. On Edit Profile page scroll down and click on the link Deactivate Account.

Once your profile is deactivated you can send an email to support team only if you want to delete your account. Follow the process given below to permanently remove your account from bitly.

Remove your Account through Email

1. Open your email account that is registered with the website.
2. Now compose an email and enter the email address support@bitly.com
   
3. On Subject Type “PROFILE DEACTIVATED: PLEASE REMOVE MY ACCOUNT”.
4. Now write an email regarding deleting your account sample given here and write your honest reason regarding deleting your account. After sending the mail to support team wait for at least 72 hours for the support team to respond.
