Remove an Osu account Completely

Osu is a free online rhythm game. But if you’re not using your account anymore, you might be wondering how to close your account on their site.

I couldn’t find an answer myself on their website, so I decided to contact the customer support team by email.
 1  Asking their customer service how to close my profile..

I received a clear answer: “We do not currently take requests for account deletion. If you wish to disable access to your own account, you may change your password to a random string of letters and numbers in your profile settings, which you may access through https://osu.ppy.sh/forum/ucp.php?i=profile&mode=reg_details.”

Hint: You may not be able to remove your account, but you could try to change your personal information to data nobody would recognize (like ‘Lorem Ipsum’ or ‘No Body’).

I know… It’s frustrating to conclude that it’s impossible to close an account. Personally I appreciate that the customer wants to help me by suggesting that I should change my password,  but honestly it’s not really a solution: the account will still exist and all you’re doing by that is locking yourself out.
