How to remove AOL username permanently

If you want to delete an AOL screen name, it is possible to do so provided that it is one of the seven screen names linked to your AOL account. You cannot delete or change your primary master screen name, however (your primary master screen name is the first screen name created when you become an AOL member). This article walks you through how to remove one of the linked screen names.
Do you wish to delete AOL username?
AOL username which was formally known as AOL Screen name can be deleted by following the steps below:

STEP 1: Go to MY ACCOUNT by clicking the following link and login with your master username and password
STEP 2: Answer your Account Security Question (ASQ) and click Continue.
STEP 3: Under username options click manage my usernames

STEP 4: In the Additional Usernames box, under Delete, click X next to the Username that you wish to delete.
