How to sign up and get started on Couchsurfing
Thank you for your interest in registering an account with Couchsurfing! To get started, go to www.couchsurfing.com.
- Click "Join with Email" and complete the registration form to create an account, or
- Click "Join with Facebook" to create a Couchsurfing account using your Facebook

Completing your Profile
First things first: Members have a much better experience on Couchsurfing if they complete their profile. A Couchsurfing profile is your face in the CS community, and it's also the first place to start creating positive experiences. Check out our Resource Center to find tips to get you started on making a great profile!
To start adding to your profile, go to your Profile and click the Edit Profile button. You can also go to your Account & Settings pages to update your account information and settings.
Getting Started
As a new member, be sure to check out the Resource Center which gives a quick overview on how to make the most of Couchsurfing. Also, review our Safety Basics and Tips before contacting anyone on Couchsurfing.
In the top Navigation bar, you will see a search bar that can be selected to view searches for Hosts, Travelers, Local Discussion, etc. and there are also buttons to lead you to Events, Groups and your Inbox. Attending events is a great way to meet your local CS community or explore a new area.
It's also good to get to know your Home Dashboard. This page will populate with information once you start joining events, surfing, hosting, and browsing through Couchsurfing groups.
There is also a lot of great information that can be found in our FAQs. Use the search bar above or browser through the FAQs we have.
